Above: Sue at the high point of our Memorial Day weekend outing to central Oregon. We're standing atop 600 foot basalt cliffs at North Point in the Bridge Creek Wilderness, elevation 6600 feet. The walk up followed an old jeep track, 1.2 mile, an easy stroll except for the deep snow and dozens of downed trees across the path! This wilderness is maintained for wildlife -- no amenities for humans. The distant sky is smoky from early season forest fires. We each added a stone to the cairn. |
